Technology Fusion, LLC

Technology Fusion has integrated several technologies together for those users that require Situational Awareness tools on highly mobile platforms.  These applications are designed for the complete mission cycle.  All systems are designed to provide an infrastructure of applications, servers for gathering, processing, and disseminating SA data to support the total mission cycle.

Patriot

The Patriot software suite is designed to provide the “End User” with powerful Situational Awareness Tools specifically designed for use on mobile devices.   Patriot architecture is much easier to adapt to a variety of hardware platforms (including mobile Personal Electronic Devices (PED’s) such as Android, IPhone, and their associated tablet PC’s).  Patriot has been designed to run on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.  Patriot is easily configurable and can be made interoperable with many of the current fielded systems.

Patriot provides the ability to perform pre-mission planning (including map management), mission briefing, mission execution, evidence management,  and post mission data management (archive, index, & recall).  Patriot assists the end-user to rapidly transition between all phases of the mission cycle.
Functionalities provided by the application’s Multi-Media Engine are:
  • Audio Engine – Audio stream encoding and decoding of AAC, AC-3, MP2, MP3, QCELP, QDM2, RealAudio, Windows Media.  Speech to Text
  • Crypto Engine – High speed stream ciphers, AES, block ciphers, message authentication, hash functions, public-key and padding schemes, key agreement schemes, and elliptical curve cryptography.
  • Terrain Engine – Supports DTED 1 and 2, SRTM.  Terrain processing: slope shading, intervisibility analysis, terrain profiles, line-of-sight.
  • Imaging Engine – 3D video, 2D/3D target tracking, extraction of 3D buildings, scene analysis.
  • Globe Engine – 2D/3D display of SA overlays on map/image backgrounds.  Display of 3D structures such as buildings and targets.  Compatible with fusion of 3D sensor data
  • Street Engine – Supports NAVTEQ and Open Street Map, for ground route planning and rerouting during navigation.
  • Team SA Chat – Text messages, automated reporting, project updates, telestration (Madden draw), and sharing SA.
  • SA Engine – Manages GRG grids and labels, airspace, weapons, targets, video, audio, users, local points, drawings, route planning, and navigation.
  • Comm Server – Supports FTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS, GOPHER, TELNET, DICT, FILE, LDAP, UDP, TCP/IP.  Standard protocols: Cursor-On-Target, KML/KMZ, XML
  • Python Scripting Engine – full scripting engine for application configuration, demonstration, and testing.
  • User Interface (UI) Engine – provides user interface functionality that exploits OpenGL while not dependent on operating system.
  • Diagnostics – logging, built-in test, fault isolation
  • Plug-In Manager – framework for including third-party and customer functionality.

     Map Manager

Technology Fusion has developed a map manager that enables an end user to easily and quickly index all available maps/imagery, determine which maps are available for a given area of the world, and export those designated maps to the end user’s desired destination (hard drive, thumb drive, etc.).

Map Manager enables the end-user to view and manage SA data (maps, imagery, terrain, video, audio, points-of-interest (POIs), 3D models, routes, etc.) from local and remote repositories.  Uses proprietary indexing technology that does not use database technology.     Map Manager works directly with CADRG, CIB, USGS DOQ, ECW, GeoTiff, MrSID and NITF formats. Full map indexing and map management functionality.  Interface to WMS map servers.     Current raster map support includes:
CADRG Compressed ARC (equal Arc second Raster Chart/map) Digitized Raster Graphics (ADRG) in National Imagery Transmission Format Standard (NITFS)-compliant Raster Product Format (RPF) achieving a nominal 55:1 compression over ADRG. Supported map scales are:
  • 1:5,000,000 General Navigation Chart (GNC)
  • 1:2,000,000 Jet Navigation Charts (JNC)
  • 1:1,000,000 Operational Navigation Charts (ONC)
  • 1:500,000 Tactical Pilotage Charts (TPC)
  • 1:500,000 VFR Sectional Charts
  • 1:250,000 Joint Operations Graphics (JOG)
  • 1:100,000 and 1:50,000 Topographic Line Maps (TLM)
  • City Graphics
  • Combat charts
  • Nautical Charts.
CIB Controlled Image Base (CIB) is panchromatic digital imagery National Imagery Transmission Format Standard (NITFS)-compliant Raster Product Format (RPF). Supported CIB scales are:
  • 10 Meter CIB
  • 5 Meter CIB
  • 1 Meter CIB
MrSID Multi-resolution seamless image database (MrSID) used for satellite imagery.
GeoTIFF GeoTIFF are TIFF images with embedded geo-referencing meta data.
DTED Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED) contains a matrix of terrain elevation values. Used for terrain profiles, line-of-site visibility, 3-D terrain modeling, visualization, and simulation, etc. Supported DTED scales are:
  • Level 0 – 1000 meter elevation post spacing
  • Level 1 – 100 meter post spacing

ESRI Shape Files File format for geographic information in the form of geospatial vectors. A shape file consists of three file types: a shape format (.shp) file that contains the vector geometry, an data base file (.dbf) that contains attributes about the vector data, and an index file (.shx) that enables faster access to the vector data.
